2014 Start!!!

This is my first stitch for 2014.  It's actually one I started in November, but didn't get anywhere near completing.   And since 2014 is a year of completing started projects it will be my first one finished, I Hope!!  :)   Its been just green, and more green, but as you can see the design makes the letters pop.  I have stitched it on linen though, rather than the paper that came with the kit.   Will find some other things to stitch with the extra Mill Hill paper I guess.   Happy Stitching everyone!!  I hope you fulfil all your stitchings ideas and dreams!!!  :)    PS:   Check out Zinio Canada for digital purchase of cross stitch magazines.  They have a few and I love the new Cute Cross Stitch magazine!!   :)

  1. Nice one, Anne. I like the dark green and the clever way the letters pop out.
Thanks for the heads up on Zinio Canada. I've been trying to find some info on these guys but even Googling doesn't get me the answers I need - perhaps you know. Can their digital magazines (if subscribed) be viewed on my PC and can I download/print a design from from said magazines? :)

    1. Hi Kate. Thanks! I also was amazed seeing the words pop out as I stitched side to side, top to bottom! :) with regard to Zinio, I've opened an acct with them, purchased three craft magazines, 2 issues of Cute Cross stitch and 1 of World of Cross Stitching. I have Zinio installed on my computer laptop as well as my ipad and they enlarge with two finger touch, so will probably just ad to stitch from. I have not looked into printing as yet, but since most of the designs are small enough, I won't have to print. Also I d somewhere that some mags don't want people to allowed to print, so sorry, I don't know if they are printable!

    1. Thanks Kaisievic. The door is red and the white everywhere else, along with beads, also since I stitched on white linen instead of the brown mill hill paper, I will use some brown same colour as paper to enhance the snow banks! :)

  5. Very nice piece! I like that it's green. Something different from the ubiquitous red, right? :)
