Well everyone, I finally got my stitched Pauline Schwartz sampler back from the framer.  They did a beautiful job of framing it at Michaels crafts.  I am actually going to enter it into the Calgary Stampede this year as 2012 is their 100th year, and I've never entered anything previously.   I want to share it with people who are looking at the creative arts and crafts area.   Happy Stitching everyone!

Hi all!  One of these days I shall complete something and then post a pic.  lol   I did finish one Christmas design, but it's off centre.   I've been working on my iguana again and that seems to be taking so many hours.  I will post a pic soon to show you my updated work on it.  It may take me another year or so to complete.  lol     Well, I hope you are all enjoying some Spring weather.  Here it's been snowing but melting and cooler.  Hopefully soon it will warm, as the community garden should be ready, and moved to another temporary location by May 1st, and it will be time to plant some early cool weather vegies.  I am looking forward to the garden this year as I skipped last year.   For sure some daisies and snow peas.   Well, happy days to everyone.

Happy Day!!  My new chesterfield was delivered this afternoon.  I love it and once I get the scanner and camera hooked up to this loaner laptop, I shall show you a pic.  It is rose-beige, I would call a dark taupe, and looks lovely with my dark floors.    :)  Hope you had a smiling day too!!  :)

Happy Saint Patrick's Day to all the Irish,  and all persons who celebrate it around the world.  Have a great day, and enjoy your time with friends and family.  I shall be spending the day stitching, and doing some house cleaning.  I also want to head downtown to the Bay to check out their furniture as I'm looking for a new chesterfield.  As some of you would agree it's not always an easy task!!  Wish me luck please!  :)

Here's the Easter design I promised you!  I really enjoyed the simplicity of this design.  I only used 8 colours and not much of each at that.  On two of the bunnies I made them with blue eyes and pink nose and blue outlines to show feet and arms.  On the other two bunnies I used pink for eyes and white for outlines.   The pink in all the ears stand out too.   The green grass is shown on the pattern but I really just used it as a reference and I placed the grass wherever my needle wanted to go!

I completed this Tunisian crochet belt for myself today.  It is a teal green and since the scanner changed it to purple I tried to make it green again, and no luck except to change the whole background.  lol   Oh well, it is done with Bernat Chunky Teal yarn with a 3.5 mm hook.  I really enjoyed doing it, but I also must note that on the pattern it said crochet one line and then turn and come back and I didn't turn it, I just worked forward and then backward with front always to me.   I used an old buckle that I've had in the sewing box for years, so all in all didn't cost me anything to make it except time!!  :)

I stitched these and here they are framed!  They are Margaret Sherry designs as well, from a magazine pattern.   If you'd like to know which one, please ask and I will let you know, since I will have to go back through my mags to find it again.  lol  !  :)

Hope everyone is enjoying some stitching days with the cool weather.  Today we had more snow but it was only -3c so not too cold   I'm working on an Easter design which I will stitch and show here and if you like it, you may let me know and I can forward a copy of the pattern to your email.
